“We always had a dairy farm, my wife Elva Brubaker and I. We started raising chickens a year ago, we wanted to diversify. It’s my son Matthew who does most of the work. He likes the chickens better than the cows. We are now in the process of building our second coop. We have six children, Matthew and Myriam are the oldest and the others are still in school: Mary, Laurence and our twin boys Linus and Landus. Everyone helps out and the kids each have their chores. The twins love the chickens. The coop is about a mile away from the house, but they are over there all the time.
